8 ways to use spicy cashews (beyond eating them from the tin)
Share
Straight from the tin is the classic. But one of our customers put it best in a review: don't waste the crispy bits at the bottom – use them on salads or bagels. Here are a few more ideas.
1. Salad crunch
Roughly chop a handful and scatter over any green salad, slaw or grain bowl. Add the crispy onion and curry leaf bits from the bottom of the tin too.
2. On a bagel
Cream cheese, sliced tomato, and a sprinkle of crushed spicy cashews. Trust us.
3. Noodles and stir-fries
Finish a stir-fry or a bowl of noodles with a handful on top just before serving, so they stay crunchy.
4. Rice bowls and curries
A spoonful over rice, dal or a curry adds texture and an extra kick.
5. The cheese board
Put a small bowl next to a sharp cheddar and some chutney. The heat and the cheese are a great match.
6. Soup topper
Crushed over a bowl of tomato, butternut or lentil soup instead of croutons.
7. Avocado toast
Smashed avocado, a squeeze of lime, and crushed spicy cashews on top.
8. Party bowls
The easiest one: pop the lid on a 250g tin, put it out, and let people help themselves.
